Water & The Hudson River
Hello PAII 7th graders!!! Welcome to Summer Session!!
For the next month, we will be learning all about the geography, history & ecology of The Hudson River. This interdisciplinary unit will incorporate activities & assignments relating to Science, ELA, Math & Social Studies, and will represent 10% of your Final Grades for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Requirements & Grading Rubric:
Quizzes (30%)
-We will have 3 quizzes during Summer Session. Quizzes will be announced at least 2 days in advance.
Final Exam (20%)
-The tentative date for the Final Exam is Monday July 30. (This date is subject to change.)
Classwork & Groupwork (25%)
-This includes all classroom activities (e.g. worksheets, partner-work, projects) & field trips activities.
Hudson River Notebook (15%)
-Vocab Words of the Day (5%), Required Note-Taking (5%), 1 page per day Journal Entry (5%)
Classroom Professionalism (5%)
-Behavior in the classroom & Character Profile Indices
Field Trip Professionalism (5%)
-Behavior on field trips.
